Launching the Stockholm Climate Leadership Society: A Global Community of Leaders for People, Planet, Purpose, and Prosperity

Today marks the official launch of the Stockholm Climate Leadership Society (the Society), an independent, global community of business leaders, innovators, and changemakers united around one mission: to safeguard our planetary boundaries and to accelerate solutions at the intersection of people, planet, purpose, and prosperity.

Modelled on the collaborative spirit of the world’s great academies and the Royal Society of London, the Society is designed to act as a modern society for sustainability, leadership, and systems transformation. Its members—drawn from the top tier of Nordic and international business and civic leadership—come together not only to share knowledge but to act.

“The Society exists to mobilise leadership, capital, and courage at a scale proportionate to the ecosystem crisis,” said Cynthia Christie Jonströmer, founder of the Stockholm Climate Leadership Society. “This is about shaping the future economy within planetary boundaries—cultivating a culture where prosperity is built through balance, resilience, and regeneration.”

The Society is built on three pillars:
• Knowledge & Foresight: offering cutting-edge insights on climate, innovation, and systemic risks.
• Community & Collaboration: convening a trusted circle of leaders under Chatham House rules, fostering dialogue that translates into action.
• Impact & Investment: linking ideas with resources, including through its companion investment vehicle.

Alongside the Society, Antarez Global Impact Capital (Antarez) has been established as a dedicated investment fund—the financial engine to back entrepreneurs, innovators, and companies who are reimagining food systems, accelerating the energy transition, restoring nature, advancing education and health, and building resilient communities worldwide.

“The Society will nurture the leaders and ideas; Antarez will provide the capital and scale. Together, they form a powerful alliance for transformation—not tomorrow, but today,” added Jonströmer.

The Society will convene its founding members at the Stockholm Climate Leadership Forum 2025, gathering the 90 most influential business leaders in the Nordics, with global partners joining from across Europe and beyond. In parallel, the Stockholm Climate Leadership Forum Scholarship (The Scholarship) will support the next generation of entrepreneurs and system thinkers—ensuring that talent and vision are never left behind for lack of resources.

The Society welcomes partners, members, and collaborators who share its conviction that true leadership in the 21st century is measured not by what we extract, but by what we restore and regenerate.
